The 5 Days of Innovation festival showcases the rich innovation present in Northern Tasmania, innovation that is present across all industries and sectors.

The University of Tasmania’s Research Office Commercialisation Unit (ROCU) works at the very core of the innovation process, assisting UTAS’ academics and researchers to take their bright ideas and inventions out into the commercial world. ROCU also works with industry and government to make sure that you get the research and consultancy you need through partnering with UTAS and its abundance of innovative staff. The 5 Days of Innovation festival is set to become a major event on the innovation and festival calendar in Tasmania.

Enterprise Connect is pleased to be involved in the 5 Days of Innovation Festival for 2010. As part of the Federal Government's Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, the Enterprise Connect program offers comprehensive advice and support to Australian small and medium sized businesses to help them transform and reach their full potential.

Enterprise Connect address specific business and regional needs, and encourage innovative solutions for long term business sustainability

The program provides a comprehensive, confidential, and independent Business Review to eligible businesses at no cost. Businesses are then able to apply for funding grants up to $20,000 to implement recommendations arising from the Business Review. Through its national network of Manufacturing and Innovation Centres, Enterprise Connect delivers a number of targeted programs to address specific business and regional development needs, and encourage innovative solutions for long-term business sustainability.
